VT restaurants are getting their tweet on
Here in my adopted hometown of Burlington, VT (population less than 40,000) the local restaurant scene has really been getting on the Twitter bandwagon, and doing it well. The entire small state of Vermont seems to have embraced social media for business, education, sports, you name it.
This week Burlington’s weekly cultural and entertainment paper, Seven Days (@Seven_Days) published its Media issue, focusing on how new media, including social, technology, communications, and even publishing itself, is changing the way we all experience the world.
Interviewed by Suzanne Podhaizer (@feedmenow), Burlington’s own celebrated foodie and critic, I was honored that my thoughts were included in the food article, and divulged what I think makes social media such a necessary marketing and pr tool for restaurants and others in the food and bev business.
